Fireplace Store & Showroom in Saanichton, Victoria BC

Pacific Fireplaces is a fireplace store with a working showroom at 2205 Keating Cross Road in Central Saanich, about 20 minutes north of downtown Victoria. Gas fireplaces and inserts are burning on the floor, wood stoves and electric fireplaces are set up to compare, and ductless heat pumps are mounted so you can see what goes on the wall. The people behind the counter are the same people who will install and service what you buy. We have been here since 2000.

What is on the floor

  • Gas fireplaces, inserts and stoves from Enviro, Urbana and Napoleon. Enviro and Urbana are built a few minutes from the showroom at Sherwood Industries in Central Saanich, and we are the Island’s largest dealer for both.
  • Wood stoves and wood fireplaces from Blaze King, Osburn, Valcourt and Enviro. Catalytic and non-catalytic stoves side by side, so the difference in size and firebox is obvious in person.
  • Electric fireplaces from Dimplex and Uptown. We were the first Dimplex-only dealer in Victoria and are the authorized Dimplex warranty and repair centre for the southern Island.
  • Ductless heat pumps. Indoor and outdoor units on display, so you can see the actual size of a wall head before one goes in your living room.

Why see it before you buy

A photo does not tell you how a flame looks in person, how much heat comes off the glass, how loud a fan is, or how big a unit really is once it is in a room. In the showroom you can stand in front of two gas fireplaces and compare them directly, open the door on a wood stove, and switch an electric fireplace on and off. Most people leave with a shorter list than they came in with, and a clearer idea of what it will cost.

Fireplaces are a purchase most homeowners make once or twice. The staff on the floor do the estimating and the installs, so the answer to “will that fit in my house” comes from someone who has done it, not from a catalogue.

Useful to bring, none of it required

  • A few photos of the room and of your existing fireplace, if you have one.
  • For an insert: the width, height and depth of the existing fireplace opening.
  • Whether the house has natural gas, propane, or neither.
  • For wood: whether there is an existing chimney and roughly how old it is.

If you have none of that, come anyway. We can narrow it down on the floor and confirm the details at a free in-home estimate afterwards.

Getting here

We are on Keating Cross Road in Central Saanich, west of the Pat Bay Highway (Highway 17). Take the Keating Cross Road exit and head west; the showroom is on the right in the Keating business area.

From downtown Victoria it is about 20 minutes up the Pat Bay Highway. From Sidney, about 10 minutes south. From the Westshore, take the Trans-Canada to the McKenzie interchange, then Highway 17 north.

Would rather we come to you?

If you already know roughly what you want, or the question is really about your house rather than the product, book a free estimate and a technician will come out, measure, and quote. If you have an existing fireplace that is not working, that is a repair call rather than a showroom visit, and you can book it the same way or call (250) 544-6769.
